Water the roots, not the pavement
Drip irrigation reduces unnecessary evaporation and can deliver water consistently along hedges, borders and planted zones. It still needs inspection because blocked drippers and small leaks are easy to miss.
Different plants and exposures may need separate watering zones. A shaded border should not automatically receive the same schedule as a sunny hedge or newly planted tree.

Adjust through the year
Change duration and frequency as temperature and rainfall change.
